“Being enriched in every thing to all BOUNTIFULNESS, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God”
2 CORINTHIANS 9:11
This is their Home.
Located in Mt. Vernon, TX, The Bountiful Place offers a nurturing environment where children are mentored and receive guidance and instruction in character-building, life skills, and academic education.
This is where they Grow.
What started as an after-school program for children of our community, but seeing the need for something more substantial to meet special challenges and fill educational gaps, we are now a privately run school for kids ages elementary through high school.
You can have a Part.
Our students attend free of charge as we think the opportunity to have a good education should be accessible to everyone. We love our volunteers and always welcome new team members. While we don't ask for donations, we deeply appreciate any support you choose to give. Thank you!
We wish to grow their creative confidence!
The Bountiful Place is an expansion of the Christ-based non-profit, The Bountiful House, which began in 2014 and was born from a growing awareness of the desperate needs and formidable challenges facing the youth of our community.
Supporting families, nurturing well-loved kids.
The goal has always been to be a light and a resource to the families of our area, coming alongside them in support to bring up kids who are well-cared-for, well-educated and well-loved.
This is our goal.
The Bountiful Place is dedicated to meeting the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of children in our community. We offer a nurturing environment where children are mentored and receive guidance and instruction in character-building, life skills, and academic education.

God. This school wouldn't exist unless He had orchestrated it Himself. He is responsible for all the details, including our finances. We don't fundraise, and we've never been in debt. We're run purely by voluntary donations.

Applicants for our school are carefully selected by our board and CEO. Of course, we believe God guides the enrollment process, giving us those students for whom we can make the biggest difference. We only accept up to twelve students at a time because we operate much like a one-room schoolhouse, emphasizing quality over quantity.

Yes! Volunteer—our work wouldn't be possible without our volunteers. We have volunteers who give their time to supervise and assist during full school hours, and we have those who drop in merely to read to the kids or lead a devotion; we love to have people come in for a single class to share with the kids about their profession (or hobby) and sometimes to teach a life skill. We also have opportunities for community members to cook meals or snacks, as well as opportunities to help the kids one-on-one with their studies. There are opportunities for all ages, skill sets, and levels of experience. Our workers are required to meet only one criterion: they love God and desire to share His love with our students.
